How to connect to your seedbox using Transdroid

Posted April 7th, 2017    11319   0   how to seedbox transdroid connect

If you use rtorrent as your torrent client, then you can use Transdroid to connect to your seedbox remotely from your Android Phone.

You will need to know your server IP ( look in your activation email) and your rpc mount.

In order to find your rpc mount:

  • Login to your client area. After you log in to your seedbox account, click in the "My Client Area" button.

file

  • Go to your Seedboxes and select Manage Seedbox by clicking on the little gear button next to the seedbox of your choice.

file

  • Here you can see your seedbox configuration. What interests you is the server you are on, username and password (which you probably already know) and the rpc mount point. To find the rpc mount point click on Torrent Client Info

file

  • A new window pops up with the information you will need.

I didn´t use transdroid for a long time. I know it worked before the Server Change a few months ago. Today I tried to set up Transdroid on my new Phone with the above instructions but I can´t get it to work. Tried several other configurations (all, I think) but nothing worked. Immediately I got the message that the settings are wrong. If I set ssl to on AND set port to the number shown in the Torrent Client Info (not 80), then it seems to go at least 1 Step further. The App does not show any error now, but it is loading forever and I still do not get a connection.

@pdb

In order to help you I also need to know which torrent client you are using. And are you on v1 or a v2 seedbox?
