2nd Plex Server

I have an existing plex server, when I add one to my seedbox I'm able to complete the claim code process and then get a login screen, but then it only ever shows my first server and not this second one on the seedbox. It's like the process is not fully completing.

For anyone having this issue. Go to your local plex server, and sign out, orphaning that Plex server temporarily. Then install Plex on your Seedbox, and let the claim and activation process go through. Now your Seedbox plex server is ready to rock. Then go back to your local plex server and reclaim it, and both will be ready.

What does it mean to "go to your local plex server"? I am also having this issue. When I add the plex app to my bat box it looks like it adds a new location for a plex library and I am no longer able to connect to my old one. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. - by bk (over 6 years ago)

In plex.tv, you can have many plex servers under the same username. There is a dropdown box to switch in between them

Yes, that's true. However the new plex server did not show up in that list for me. The only way for me to get it to show up was to deauthorize my existing server, let seedbox finish setting things up then re-link it. - by cptcervix (over 6 years ago)
