4k Plex Streams

Is there some sort of recommended settings i need to follow to get smooth streaming 4k on plex? Im on a Vampire box plan.

Hi!
Just make sure you can at least pull 40-50Mbps at "average" column when running our speedtest tool (perform the test when you are about to watch a movie. If you are already logged in prior to running it, you can reroute if necessary to a better route).
Also, you should connect your plex client's device via ethernet (if able) as wifi is sometimes unreliable.

If you can pull that kind of bandwidth, then this means that your plex server is trying to transcode a movie with a very high bitrate (not the 35-45 Mbps range you usually find at regular 4K content) meaning you either need to upgrade to a better plan if you want to stream high-end 4K content, or download 4K releases that have less bitrate.

However, if high-end 4K is not the case, nor is your bandwidth, please open a support ticket from your client area so our technicians can investigate your issue
