Does FTP use up your traffic allowance

Does ftp use up the amount of traffic I pay for?

If your download FROM your seedbox TO your home via FTP, then this direction is counted (as it is using the uplink of the server). The opposite direction is not counted (uploading FROM your home, to the seedbox)
