Filezilla transfers failing

Having trouble download in filezilla. r torrent is running, im connected to server, tried reinstalling filezilla but files still won't download. i keep getting a message that says the file failed to open for writing and file transfer failed.

anyone know how to help?

Probably you are trying to download the file on your pc, in a folder where your user does not have write access. This a common mistake on MacOS computers. Just select in this case, from the left folder tree, the home folder (/Users/username) of your user to be the destination of the download
