Moving files from download folder to Plex automatically?

Is there a way to have the files that have downloaded into the download folder move automatically into Plex folders? Currently, i am moving files manually between folders and would like to know if the file can be tagged "TV" or "movie" in the torrent client. I am using Transmission and maybe this is available using another client.

There is nothing available like that as a ready to use solution. It is pretty difficult also to develop something like this, because each user wants to organize his media in a different way. There are so many variables to consider.

There is software however to automate movies and tv downloads, unpackage them and sort them in predefined folders. The most popular is Sonarr (for TV) and Radarr (for Movies). Both of them are available in your client area as installable applications

Tony, wouldn't the download folder's (Sonarr and Radarr) be placed within the download folder wither way, since they flow through the download client, which saves to only one default directory? Is is possible to set the download directory in Sonarr/Radarr such that the download client will save directly into a Plex folder? My problem is the inability to save to a plex folder in any manner. - by Diazg89 (over 6 years ago)
