Plex Download option

I was just wondering in Plex we can download stuff. Does that download straight off g-drive or does it download through your servers or something. Just wondering about the technical side of things.

Hello!
Your Plex server resides at your seedbox. Therefore when the Plex client (at your PC or TV etc) requests a movie, it essentially sends the Plex server the request to download the movie (from your Gdrive which is mounted to your Plex server). Upon reception of the first chunks of the file, the Plex server sends (either directly or via transcode if the Plex client requests so) the stream to the Plex client while it still downloads (and simultaneously uploading/streaming) the rest movie
