trying to use dropbox and rutorrent monitored folder

I am curious how to get dropbox to run as a service i get an error that i do not have permissions. it is installed, but does not to any good if i have to launch it manually.Or is there a better option?

How did you install dropbox in your account ? If you are trying to install the package, that will not work

You have to follow the instructions from the page below, where it says 64bit systems:

https://www.dropbox.com/install-linux

cd ~ && wget -O - "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64" | tar xzf -

Next, run the Dropbox daemon from the newly created .dropbox-dist folder.

~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd
